I'm thrilled to announce the launch of our new Bring Your Own Textile (BYOT) program, starting on October 22, 2024! This initiative is an exciting opportunity for you to revive your cherished but unused garments or textiles and turn them into something fresh and wearable. Whether it's a vintage jacket, an old saree, a beloved shirt, or even a curtain or tablecloth, the BYOT program gives you the chance to transform these items into something completely new and timeless, designed either as one of our Studio Dialectica silhouettes or a fully customized piece.
How It Works
Participating in the BYOT program is easy and flexible. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Get Started Online or In-Person: Begin by accessing our BYOT and Customs Intake Form through our website or our Linktree, which you can find in our Instagram bio. This form is where you'll provide us with essential details about your textile, such as what kind of fabric it is, its current condition, and what kind of redesign you have in mind. You can choose to have it redesigned into one of our signature Studio Dialectica silhouettes, or if you have a custom idea in mind, we’ll be happy to collaborate with you to bring that vision to life. You may also choose to email us to book a phone appointment or visit us for an in-person consultation at one of our vendor events (check our website or Instagram for dates and locations).
- Share Your Vision: During intake, you’ll also be able to share pictures of your textile and let us know how you’d like to proceed. You can choose to meet us in-person, visit us at one of our vendor events, or even complete the entire process virtually from the comfort of your home.
- Consultation and Quote: After your intake is complete, we’ll reach out to confirm your details and provide a quote for the redesign project, along with an estimated lead time for completion. We can take your measurements in person, at an event, or virtually, whichever works best for you.

Why the BYOT Program?
We’re launching this program because we’ve seen a growing interest from customers in reimagining their old textiles. We’ve had numerous requests to transform sarees, dresses, curtains, and other sentimental fabrics into wearable, modern pieces. Instead of letting those beautiful fabrics sit unused in a closet or storage box, the BYOT program gives you the chance to breathe new life into them. Whether it’s an heirloom fabric with sentimental value or a favorite textile that no longer fits, we want to help you make it a part of your everyday wardrobe.
